Milan Inventory levels

You hear a lot of dire news about the housing market still, whether it's from Bernanke's remarks about the economy and housing, recent mortgage company failures, or from your friends and neighbors. As in the surrounding neighborhoods, in Milan it is still a srong buyers' market, but in some price ranges inventory levels are bit lower which is good.

At present we are down to a 12 month supply of housing on the market in the under $200,000 price range. That's an improvement. But, from $200,000 to 300,000 in Milan, we have a large surplus of homes on the market, with more than a 3 year supply.

There are some great deals out there in this price range. For example, look at http://www.827barnswallow.com/. Having built homes in Eagle Springs subdivision for 2 years I really appreciate the fine qualities of this one with its hardwood and ceramic flooring, a well finished basement, a huge deck and many other features.

If you're in a position to buy, this is certainly the time to do so!
